At Bacheldre Watermill we produce a wide range of flours from Wheat, Rye and Spelt.
We use a blend of old and new technology. Most of the range is ideal fro producing breads of exceptional flavour and quality. Our flours can be used to craft breads by hand or by bread machine.
There are several advantages to stone-ground wheat flour. The endosperm, bran and germ remain in their natural, origianl proportions. The mill stones grind slowly, therefore the wheat is not exposed to excessive temperatures.

Our Story
Welcome to historic Bacheldre Watermill. First recorded in 1575 as part of an Elizabethan estate, the mill was rebuilt is 1747. It is here the art of traditional milling lives on.
Today the Scott family maintains the Watermill with its overshot waterwheel and French Burr Millstones crafting flours of excepional quality.
Time is taken to sourse the best grain which is stoneground slowly and gently in order to produce flour that retains all the natural goodness of the wheatgerm. This slow milled process only slightly warms the flour leaving all the natural flavours intact.
